CULTIVATION DIRECTOR

Roles & Responsibilities: 
As the Cultivation Director at Veda Farms, you will use your organic farming expertise to shape the buildout of our cultivation operation from its very inception. You will be the driving force behind the journey of our products from seed to distribution, ensuring the highest quality and compliance at every step. Your leadership will extend to:

- Strategic Leadership: Assume comprehensive responsibility for the cultivation process, from seed selection to lab-tested packaging, ensuring seamless integration of living soil principles.

- Operational Excellence: Oversee day-to-day operations in cultivation, managing planting, growing, harvesting, drying, curing, and post-production processes.

- Team Empowerment: Lead and mentor a skilled team of cultivators, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and growth.

- Compliance Assurance: Ensure strict adherence to all New Jersey Cannabis Regulatory Commission regulations governing cannabis cultivation, ensuring compliance and safety standards are consistently met.

- Quality Control: Implement rigorous quality control measures to guarantee the production of premium-grade cannabis products.

- Technology Integration: Embrace cutting-edge technologies and techniques to optimize yield, quality, and sustainability.

- Partnership Collaboration: Collaborate closely with 3rd party distribution partners, ensuring timely, efficient, and compliant product delivery.

- Continuous Improvement: Drive process optimization and innovation to enhance cultivation practices, production efficiency, and product quality.

- Content & Education: Work with Veda Farms' media team to produce content to educate our communities about our work and the power of regenerative agriculture and holistic wellness. 

Requirements:
- A minimum of 10 years of hands-on cannabis cultivation experience (both legal and legacy experience accepted).
- Deep expertise in living soil methodologies and their application in cannabis cultivation.
- Proven leadership experience, with a track record of successfully managing cultivation teams.
- Extensive understanding of cannabis cultivation processes, from germination to distribution.
- Familiarity with local and state regulations related to cannabis cultivation and distribution.
- Strong problem-solving skills and adaptability in a dynamic startup environment.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively coordinate with internal teams and external partners.
- Ability to maintain meticulous records and data for compliance purposes.
- Willingness to commit to a full-time contract of at least 3 years, preferably longer.

- Collaborative Support: Assist the Cultivation Director in orchestrating all stages of cultivation, from planting to distribution, ensuring seamless execution of the cultivation plan.

- Data Collection: Play a vital role in data collection, meticulously recording and organizing data related to cultivation practices, yields, quality control, and compliance.

- Cultivation Operations: Participate hands-on in day-to-day cultivation activities, managing plant care, harvesting, drying, and other essential operations.

- Data Systems & Compliance: Manage the inclusion of collected data within our systems and compliance platforms, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records.

- 5+ years of hands-on experience in organic cannabis farming, with a deep understanding of cultivation techniques.
