Infused Blue Lotus Cacao Elixir Recipe

This Blue Lotus Cacao Elixir is more than a beverage—it is a deeply intentional ritual rooted in the ancient traditions of plant medicine. Blending two revered botanicals, blue lotus and cacao, this elixir serves as a bridge between worlds: grounding the body, calming the mind, and activating subtle energy centers. Infused with Veda Warrior’s cannabis coconut oil, this recipe transforms a ceremonial drink into a functional remedy for relaxation, stress relief, and gentle euphoria.

In Ayurveda, food is medicine. When prepared with mindfulness and the right herbs, even a simple cup can become a tool for healing. This elixir is designed to support the body’s natural rhythms and emotional well-being, especially during the evening when the nervous system craves nourishment and grounding. With adaptogens, digestive spices, and the mood-enhancing properties of cannabis, this recipe helps restore balance across mind, body, and spirit.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups plant-based milk (almond, oat, or coconut milk)

  • 2 tablespoons raw ceremonial-grade cacao

  • 1 teaspoon dried blue lotus petals or 1 blue lotus tea bag

  • 1 tablespoon Veda Warrior infused coconut oil

  • 1 tablespoon maple syrup or raw honey (to taste)

  • ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon

  • ¼ teaspoon ground cardamom

  • Pinch of pink Himalayan salt

  • Optional: a dash of cayenne pepper for warming energy

Instructions

  1. In a small saucepan, heat the plant-based milk until warm but not boiling. Add the blue lotus petals or tea bag and allow to steep for 8–10 minutes, covered.

  2. Remove the petals or tea bag and gently strain the milk.

  3. Add cacao to the warm blue lotus-infused milk. Whisk until fully melted and smooth.

  4. Stir in Veda Warrior infused coconut oil, maple syrup or honey, cinnamon, cardamom, salt, and optional cayenne.

  5. As you whisk, take a moment to breathe deeply and set an intention—personal or collective. Allow your presence to infuse the medicine you’re creating.

  6. Pour into mugs and garnish with additional lotus petals or dried rose petals, if desired. Drink slowly, and allow the effects to unfold naturally.

Healing Benefits Breakdown

In line with Ayurvedic principles, each ingredient in this recipe has been selected not only for flavor but also for its medicinal properties. Together, they create a synergistic blend that supports physical, mental, and energetic healing.

Veda Warrior Infused Coconut Oil:
Cannabis, infused into a cooling and nourishing base like coconut oil, helps soothe inflammation, ease anxiety, and promote gentle euphoria or restful sleep depending on dose and timing. Coconut oil is excellent for calming excess Pitta and nourishing reproductive and nervous tissues (shukra dhatu and majja dhatu in Ayurveda).

Blue Lotus (Nymphaea caerulea):
Traditionally used to support the nervous system, blue lotus is mildly psychoactive, promoting relaxation, dream enhancement, and meditative clarity. In Ayurveda, it is considered a cooling, sattvic flower that opens the crown and heart chakras, while calming Pitta and Vata imbalances.

Cacao (Theobroma cacao):
Known as the “Food of the Gods,” cacao is rich in magnesium and mood-enhancing compounds. It stimulates the heart center, energizes the body, and increases serotonin and dopamine levels. It is considered slightly warming and is especially supportive during colder seasons or in states of emotional depletion.

Cinnamon & Cardamom:
Both spices stimulate digestion, clear stagnation, and enhance circulation. Cinnamon warms the body while cardamom lightens the heaviness of milk and cacao, promoting balance and clarity.

Maple Syrup / Honey:
Adds sweetness while supporting ojas, the subtle essence responsible for immunity and vitality.

Cayenne (optional):
Activates digestion and brings fire (agni) to the ritual, supporting mental clarity and energetic uplift.

Dosing Information

This recipe uses 1 tablespoon of Veda Warrior infused coconut oil. Depending on the potency of your oil:

  • If the full tablespoon contains 10mg THC, divide the batch into two servings for a gentle 5mg dose

  • For microdosing (2.5mg THC), divide into four servings

  • This recipe can also be diluted with additional milk to stretch servings if needed

  • Always label and store clearly. Start with a lower dose if unsure of your tolerance.
