Infused Chai Spice Cake Recipe

This Chai Spice Cake brings the warmth and depth of traditional chai flavors into a beautifully aromatic dessert, elevated with the healing properties of Veda Warrior’s infused ghee butter. Rooted in the Ayurvedic belief that food is medicine, this cake is crafted to support digestion, circulation, and emotional balance through its blend of therapeutic spices and nourishing fats. The addition of cannabis-infused ghee offers a subtle yet effective way to promote relaxation and mindfulness—making this cake a perfect centerpiece for slow gatherings, creative afternoons, or rituals of self-care.

  • Servings per recipe: 20 servings

  • THC dose per serving: 5mg THC per serving

Ingredients

  • ¾ cup unsalted butter, room temperature

  • ¼ cup Veda Warrior Infused Ghee (substitute for some or all of the butter for a deeper, richer flavor; 100mg THC per jar, ~5mg THC per ¼ cup)

  • 1½ cups granulated sugar

  • 4 large eggs, room temperature

  • 1 tbsp vanilla extract

  • 2¼ cups all-purpose flour

  • 1 tbsp baking powder

  • 1 tsp salt

  • 1 tbsp ground cinnamon

  • 2 tsp ground ginger

  • 2 tsp ground cardamom

  • ½ tsp ground nutmeg

  • ⅛ tsp ground black pepper


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and line three 6-inch cake pans with parchment paper. Set aside.

  2. In a standing mixer fitted with a paddle attachment, cream the butter, Veda Warrior Infused Ghee, and sugar until light and fluffy, about 2 minutes.

  3. Add eggs one at a time, beating well between additions until the batter is pale yellow and airy. Stir in vanilla extract.

  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, salt, and all spices.

  5. Alternately fold the flour mixture and buttermilk (if using) into the wet ingredients, mixing only until just combined to preserve airiness.

  6. Divide batter evenly between prepared pans.

  7. Bake for 25–30 minutes, or until a knife inserted into the center of the cakes comes out clean.

  8. Allow to cool completely before frosting or serving.
